Workouts and Dinners for the week of 1/6/13

Sunday, January 06, 2013

I'm a little hesitant to put this out every week. Don't want to bore you guys to death! emoticon But it really helps keep me accountable. When I thought about skipping a workout last week, I remembered that I had posted my schedule and didn't want to have to report back that I didn't follow it. Additionally, I get inspired from seeing what others do, so maybe someone will get an idea or two from my plan.

Sunday - 3 miles, Soup/Sandwiches
Monday - boot camp class, chicken bacon ranch sub/fruit
Tuesday - Yoga DVD, Lentil Tacos/raw veggies
Wednesday - boot camp class, creamy ham and potato bake
Thursday - 3 miles, Sausage and Potatoes
Friday - boot camp class, pizza pasta casserole
Saturday - rest, Steak/baked potatoes

Here are the links to the meals I'm making this week-

Slow Cooker Northern Bean and Spinach Soup - haven't tried this one before. Left out the sausage for a vegetarian meal. Made a double batch so I hope everyone likes it!!

Lentil Tacos - This is a vegetarian dish that is easy, economical, and has plenty of protein.

Creamy ham and potato bake - One of my favorite sparkrecipes!

Sausage and Potatoes - I used to make my sausage and potatoes in a skillet, but saw the oven method on Pinterest and love it! Just slice up your potatoes, smoked sausage, and some onion. Drizzle a little olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper. 20-30 minutes at 400 degrees. Yum!

Pizza Pasta Casserole - I haven't made this in a long time. I'm going to make half of this recipe and put it in two 8x8 dishes and put one in the freezer.

Steak and baked potatoes - Yum! I bought some fresh broccoli I will roast to go along side.

That wasn't boring AT ALL! You make it sound so simple and that's inspiring. I'm going to check out the lentil taco recipe... sounds interesting!

No I love these blogs, they aren't boring. They give me good ideas. And although I'm not quite ready to force myself to blog the entire week, it keeps me motivated through my own goals.
