Ok I've read that keeping a blog will help motivate me - and I need motivation to both lose weight and exercise.

I have arthritis and associated syndromes so excuses for not doing either of the above are easy. Mentally and out loud I admitted these were excuses a couple of years ago, last year I gat going quite well with sparks, lost a few pounds, got a bit of exercise done, but then I just sat on my laurels I guess. It wasn't long before I regained the weight, and added more, something I'd not done for a couple of years.

So sparks was responsible for that extra gain.

Yes, right, that was whispering away, when I thought about weight loss, which wasn't very often.

What a load of rubbish. Everyone that wants to lose weight has excuses, mine are no better than anyone else's. everyone that has to make themselves exercise can list pages of why they can't do it today, I'm not special there either.

To help I now have a wii fit, going to check that I can use it by myself in a mo so that doesn't become an exercise. It's cold outside and heating is expensive so I'm not going to put the heating on for any extra time unless I've done my exercise, should be quite motivating.

I've also got cals sorted for breakfast and lunch so it's only one meal to count for, I'm going to stick with the same there as its what I usually do, it also means I can have a hot lunch for my tea that will give me lots of variety. It's portion sizes that I have to watch, so it will be a bother to begin with to make some meals and count cals but that will get easier as I get used to it.

Ok off to check out the wii
