So here I am again. It is January and I return to Spark People for the motivation to lose some weight. I had a pleasant surprise to learn that I am in fact 30+ pounds lighter than last January. I am not sure exactly what to credit my weight loss because I don't think there has been any ONE thing. Last winter I started meeting my friend every morning to walk for 45 minutes. The previous September I vowed to bring my lunch to work every day and have stuck to it. Last August I began a challenge to make one small change each week to make me healthier. Changes such as start each day with a warm glass of lemon water, eating a healthy breakfast each morning, ensuring at least three servings of vegetables. Each small change has been easier to implement and stick to it.
I must admit over the holidays I stopped adding to my weekly healthy choices but now that the holidays officially end today I will get back at it. Also, returning to Spark People rejuvenates my motivation. It is funny how simply spinning the Spark People week each morning reaffirms my commitment to my weigh loss goals.
Speaking of goals, what are they for 2013? I am hoping to lose another ten pounds by March, another 10 pounds by my birthday in June and then another ten pounds by Labour Day. That would be another 30 pounds........I know I CAN do it.....like the Nike ad says, it is a matter of "Just Do IT!"
