Sooooo even though I was getting serious with the weight loss again I wanted to take it easy over December in terms of exercise and eating especially on Christmastime. I am very happy I did and think it's a good step to a healthier me. I got sick three weeks in a row from overactivity because I was just so busy with work and Christmas things. (When I get sick from doing too much I get certain symptoms that go away after a day or to so I know it wasn't a cold or flu coming back each week). If I was trying to do all the exercise on top I think it would have gotten worse.
In terms of eating, I let myself enjoy the season without going overboard. The year before I was so strict even on special occasions that once I got down in weight I went overboard. A part of my healthier weight loss plan this time around includes learning to enjoy and relax a bit and then picking right back up so things don't go too far. And I found I only gained 1.6 pounds during the week of Christmas! I was very happy about that. And I even lost 0.2 pounds during New Years as well!!!
Last night was tough. I flex my calories throughout the week so I have my most on Sundays and least on Saturdays and weigh myself on Sundays before I eat. Yesterday was the first day I had home since going back to my healthier eating and it was a bit rough. It's actually why I ended up posting my first blog last night. I had just finished dinner of soup and yogurt and couldn't stop thinking about eating more. But posting here helped and I resisted the urge! Thank you SP for being there!
