Do you know that scene in American Beauty when Annette Benning is saying "I will sell this house today." over and over? That is like me on running days. I get up in the morning and start saying "I will run 2 miles today" and repeat until it is actually over. So I will run 2 miles today. The Y doesn't open until 12 so I will go as close to that time as possible. If the kids are behaving, I may take them as well and let them swim. I will update this blog entry when the 2 miles are done. This is the longest run I have done in many many years. Excited and nervous.

Oh, and I have been wondering how I am going to keep count of the laps at the Y. 17 laps make a mile and i have to do two. Counting to 34 would be hard while running and listening to a podcast. I decided to put 17 beads on a string and carry it in my hand, moving the beads from one side of the string to the other, keeping track of the laps that way.

Yesterday was a fun day. I drove to my sister's house about 3 hours away and had lunch and helped her put together some Christmas presents. We took our dogs for a walk before I drove home. When I got here, we played some xbox kinnect games (a Christmas present). I ordered the dance game but it hasn't arrive yet.
