Are you an osteologist?

Sunday, January 06, 2013

An osteologist is a bone collector, are you one?

One of the first things I noticed as my weight dropped was that I could feel bones again. I would say to my daughter " look I found a bone!" She's a med student and would smile and say "oh you are cute".

I FOUND wrist bones and knee bones and a clavicle, elbows and shoulder 'bones' and ankle bones, knuckle bones and although they hadn't been buried for centuries they sure had been gone for decades...

In my ponderings today I wondered what your 'finds ' are?

Let me know what -ologist you are?

Night night... emoticon emoticon emoticon

Funny, but true :) As we shrink we see parts of ourselves that we had forgotten about. I believe it's a much bigger deal for the ladies than it is for the men when they notice their collarbones peeking out. But I do have an appreciation for finding that my back doesn't hurt as much or as often.

    How exciting for you!

Yes I too was exciting when I could see my ribs in the mirror, and my shoulder bones!
I am glad you are seeing results of all your hard work, keep it up!

great blog, it put a smile on my face.

I too, became an osteologist a few years back when I lost 75 lbs, that I didn't gain back.

I'm now in the process of rediscovering the osteology by losing an other 40 lbs.

    Thanks for that blog!
