Review of 2012

Sunday, January 06, 2013

Well now that I sit down and think about it, 2012 was more of a down year than I originally thought.

In late February I had hernia repair surgery, took about eight weeks to fully recover from that and got back on track and started making progress again.

Then I talked hubby into a short vacation in August at the beach. That was a blessing in more ways than I ever anticipated, in September I had my annual mammogram and a lump was found, the stress from that triggered my emotional eating and although I did my best to reign it in I did gain, luckily it turned out to be a benign tumor, spent October and most of November getting back on track.

Then the beginning of December I started noticing wheezing – not good thought it was bronchitis that was until I started coughing up flecks of blood. A call to the doctor’s office and an appointment a few hours later came with a diagnosis of pneumonia. With prescription in hand, hubby drove me home so I could rest and recover – after all the holidays are in full swing.

So my wish for 2013 is to be healthy and stay on track – that isn’t asking too much is it?

Wow. You've had a quite a year! 2012 wasn't the best year for me either. My unemployment has been a challenge for both of us.

2013 will be better. We can choose how we react to the stressors in our lives. We can and will triumph if we choose to.

Thanks for the comment on my blog!
