Blessings Abound...

Sunday, January 06, 2013

McKenzie is having a great weekend. She has been spending it with her Meme and her cousin David...shopping, eating at Olive Garden and just having a great time!!!

I am spending the weekend itching and going slowly crazy wth these hives. The benedryl is causing sleepiness and fuzzy headedness. Still isn't stopping the itching. I have tried several creams from calamine lotions to cortizone 10...even tried prescription cream called Desoximetasone Cream. Nothing is working! UGH!!! I have not been able to pinpoint the cause...possibly gluten in some of my medication or something in my herbal tea. I have already called my pharmacist to have him check my medicaitons to see if any of them contain gluten. Checking everything... I plan on calling the doctor Monday morning first thing so I can get in to see her.

Hope all my friends are having a wonderful weekend and a very blessed Sunday. Be safe and tell your loved ones how much they mean to you.
Blessings, love and hugs,
Helen

emoticon I am sorry about the constant itching. That can be maddening especially when trying to sleep. I have been given a perscription for diaflorasone that really worked when nothing else would for itching. Praise God for Drs that know and can help us. Blessings, Elaine emoticon

I can identify with you all too well with the itching and hives. I had the same thing last summer. Benedryl did the same for me, just made me sleep good enough that I don't think I itched too bad in my sleep. Never did find out what caused mine except "allergies". I sure hope that you can get to the bottom of what is causing yours so you can get better soon!

Aveeno oatmeal bath or one of their creams maybe?? And I was shocked to learn that some herbal teas DO have gluten so I'd be checking that one our really closely.

Good luck and do hope you're feeling better soon! HUGS

Hope you feel better soon Helen.

Colin suffered dreadfully form the itches for years, until they did a bone marrow test and found he had Polythicemia Rubra Vera..
He then had several blood letting sessions and it stoped the itches ..
Love to you and Ken .. Susie emoticon emoticon
