"Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you face trials of many kinds,
because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.
Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and
complete, not lacking anything." . . . James 1:2

:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:

I often feel really useless at life - I lack perserverance to take me through it on a steay ande patient journey - I try to develope good habit and they continue to fall after a while. Obligations to other people keeps me going, but it seems too hard to make the obligations to myself last.

Out visit to sister was nice, we brought the wii game and got my sister involved, she thought it was really fun and playing it made it easier to have daughter involved in the company also.

We were home at eight and I sat up far too long, it will be hard to wake up in good time for work tomorrow, I have changed my sleep sceĀ“hedule too much.

I think you need to put yourself first. Without having you at your best, your family and friends will suffer. Please be strong for yourself and you can become more confident! Wishing you the best.

If perseverance means you keep coming back and working away on something, I'd say you do persevere, Meddy. You don't have to keep a blinkered focus on something 24 / 7 to persevere. As long as you remain aware of where you want to go, and keep working toward that goal, you are persevering, to my way of thinking. And in that you will find achievement, hon...

Your first paragraph doesn't describe the person I've come to know here. I don't think any of us have a patient and steady journey; that's just not how life is. I think you do better than most. Remember; progress, not perfection.
I hope you do get back into a good sleep schedule; it's important. I know I'm still suffering from the disruption of the holidays. Fun yes, but it flat wore me out and I'm having trouble bouncing back. Be kinder to yourself. emoticon

I wonder if you don't give yourself enough credit for the things you persevere about and the successes you have. I have been watching you be committed to quite a few things over the past year. I, too, find that things drop and I have to restart them, but building up patterns of commitment is a huge achievement.

I am thinking of your sink project. I don't know if it is still sparkly, but you kept yours a lot more sparkly than mine for a long time.

I am thinking about your daily blogs. You have really kept that up!

    I am thinking about clowning.

You can be too hard on yourself, my friend. But you already know that. emoticon

I think I know that feeling. I love your honesty about it!
Still I also think that that type of thought 'I am useless / unfit for life' is a lie. We do mean a lot to other people, we accomplish a lot (I know YOU do! and I too). But we set very high standards, I think. I also understand the part about the obligations. Sigh. For myself I try to make the ties to others less and keep chipping away to get more me-time.

    Sleep well tonight!

Have faith in yourself. Every little thing counts. Take a break every now and then and reward yourself. Don't give up. You are stronger than you think you are.
