Finally got rid of the last of the New Year's food bloat today. I spiked on Jan 1st (for obvious reasons), and the weight's been dropping since. I'm looking see next week's average below 57 kg (preferably in the 56 range).

It's a start. That doesn't include the 6k walk Nick and I took on Tuesday as we recovered from food hangovers.

Missed out on that today, but I'm going to give myself some quiet relaxation breathing time before bed.

- Made a big pot of awesome soup without using a recipe.
- Made reasonably healthy banana bread for the sweet tooth.
- Experimented with greek yogurt (I have issues with textures in milk products, so trying a new yogurt is a victory)
- Stuck to what I planned to eat on New Year's

emoticon Things to watch next week:

Friday movie night, and possible eating involved. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to eat at the theater or not (sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Depends if I actually want anything). I may suggest a healthier dinner at the mall first, followed by a smaller snack and water for the movie.

    You've totally inspired me! I was at the grocery store today debating whether or not to get some of those frozen dessert bars, and decided against. I'm just not sure I'm all that happy with the ingredients, BOGO deal or not. Now I'm thinking banana bread will be a great dessert for next week!

    Love the control and gradual building. I wrestle with the urge to do too much, before I'm ready. Keeping the growth in miles to something sustainable requires me to focus and plan, when I'd rather just go out and run.

  Gotta love Staturday! Do you run every day, or do you take off days (for instance, on days you strength train)?
