As a personal choice and body needing a break from all the meat that I have been eating for the past 20+ years. I decided to go vegan for the year. I cut out everything dairy, meat and even fish.
I have found some great options to replace my protein, and made some great recipes. It has been 9 days without meat, lost 5lbs! I replaced some protein by low calorie, non-dairy protein powders and I feel so much better!
I think that I will go back to meat someday, but I feel way better and have so much more energy without meat!
We shall see how things go in the next 6 months to see if I can keep it going.
