My daughter and I are taking the 30 Day Vegan Challenge!

Saturday, January 05, 2013

My daughter is so excited about the Vegan Challenge, so I decided to join her. After watching "Vegucated" documentary, seeing three people transform their lives by taking the Vegan Challenge, I decided to jump on board! Check out the link at the bottom of this blog.

So tomorrow, is my first day of eating semi Vegan, no meat, no cheese, no dairy, although, I told my daughter, I will still eat my egg whites and some fish every now then.

I will keep you all posted.

I just watched vegucated on Jan 1st. I considered the vegan challenge, but decided that might be too much to start for me - so I'm doing a vegetarian challenge instead! I just can't go without cheeses. ;)

Good luck to you and your daughter! I already feel healthier without meat, so I'm sure you two are feeling amazing now!

Good luck! I am doing a Daniel Fast which is a spiritual fast based on the book of Daniel in the bible. No meat, dairy, sweetners, caffiene, etc. Only plant based foods for 21 days. I'm on day 13 :-) I am hoping to incorporate this way of eating into my life. Thank you for the link for the Vegucaiton Challenge emoticon

Congratuations on your swich. I believe a vegan diet is a much healthier diet, so if you think you could do it...go for it! I'm a semi vegetarian because I still eat fish and chicken. I drank milk and eat eggs and other dairy products. I don't think I can be a vegan, although I do have a meatless meal 2 or 3 times a week, but I won't be able to do it everyday for every meal.
Good luck to you and your daughter. emoticon

I love what they are trying to do. Everyone should try something like this and I can't wait to hear how you and yours are doing. 30 Days is a great time span to get a good feel changes you are making. I wish both of you the best on the journey and do share recipes. emoticon
