Exercise 228
Total Burned 2,210

I started the day out well with a 55 minute ST session but when I went grocery shopping, I bought my new favourite snack. It's called Zen Mix. It has almonds, sesame sticks and rice crackers in it. I had a salad when I got home and then had some of that snack mix with my green tea. After I tired of that, I had some popcorn. I wasn't actually that hungry but it was calling my name (it had been in the pantry for over a week since the last time I had any). And, even though I didn't exceed my calorie range, I still ate more calories with my snacks today than I did for any of my meals and I wish I could say that was pretty rare but honestly, it's a typical Saturday afternoon at home. I like salty snacks. There! I said it. So, if I stay in range, does it really matter if I indulge one afternoon a week?

I love the new picture, first of all, sexy! Secondly, I was on the same page as you yesterday and I had popcorn too! I am proud to say I have not gotten into the Amish Friendship bread mom made yesterday, but I know it is out there. I just HATE being the first person to get into anything, so I wait for someone else to take the blame and then I jump on the bandwagon! LOL (And Dad is always the first to get into anything!)

I can't find it on this site right now, but I do believe in salty snacks one day a week. I believe in moderation in all things, but salty snacks are a MUST for Saturdays and as long as you are drinking your water and flushing you system out, you should have no backlash for this week's weigh-in. Matter of fact, I think a doctor will write you a prescription for indulging once a week. It keeps us healthy, and honest, and most importantly... HAPPY!

And I love the mixture you are talking about. I need to get to the dollar store - whichever one is closest these days - and get myself some stuff to make trail mix with. I would buy it already made, but I have to make sure it's not the bad-for-you kind. But I think I may have found new inspiration in your favorite new snack.

Hugs to you, my dear friend. Here's to wishing you a great week and that the weather will play along with your cheery mood!

Hugs and Love, Angela

Great job staying in range. The question of the salty snack Sundays depends on you. How do you feel after you eat those the next day. Is it harder to stay on track? Or easier? Do you feel bloated and bad afterwards? If the answer is no, then I'd say there's no reason to change what's working for you. If you don't feel good or it makes it tough the next couple of days you may want to think about substitutes or changing the routine.
