Wow! That was difficult, but I DID IT!
It has been a full seven days that I have not been ale to run due to a bad case of the flu. It killed me not to run, but I did a lot of reading on the subject and decided that if I tried to run too soon, I could relapse and have to take more time off.
Today, I still have a headache, cough, runny nose, and my ears are really plugged, but I felt good enough to give running a try. I set a goal to run for at least 30 minutes and I did just over that; 31:16 to be precise. I continued to walk for another 16 minutes and stretched afterwards. It was a tough run, but it felt great to be back on the track and feel the wind in my face.
Besides, I have a Half Marathon to train for!
