400 Burn!

Saturday, January 05, 2013

Over the last couple of years, I have been very motivated to improve on some athletic abilities. This year, I have noted in a previous blog that I need to rebalance my life-exercise. I have been thinking about how to accomplish this rebalancing without sacrificing my current fitness level.
My new goal is to simply burn 400 calories a day. I generally wear a HR monitor when I exercise, so it will be easy to track. I am not going to get bogged down on any exercise program or any particular sport. I am just going to burn 400 calories daily, period. I may have to do some fitness in the morning before work and some in the evening but I think it will be easy to accomplish. I have a lot of fitness DVDs and I have been organizing my work day to leave the office early to hit the gym around 4:30 before the crowd comes.
I will still try to cycle once a week, tennis once a week, run twice a week , and swim twice a week just so I don't lose my current level in these sports as it was a lot of work to get there!! But I am promising myself... I WILL NOTget bent out of shape if I switch up my exercising for the week. This is my promise to myself!!
Good luck to everyone on your 2013 NY resolutions!

That's great goals. Ask you family to sign up for a 5k or something with you. There are tons of fun things like the Color run, or thingsl ike tough mudder, that may entice them to want to train with you also.
