So for the year 2013, I have decided to start the green smoothie craze. I have had at least 1 green smoothie per day since January 1st and seemed to have dropped a few pounds. Nothing that seems out of the realm of water weight though.
As I am doing the Green Smoothie Challenge, I am making it one smoothie a day for me. However, today I wanted to test myself to see if I can green smoothie it up all day. I couldn't :( Now dont get me wrong... I havent had nothing but candy, or white bread or even a low cal pasta dish. Instead, for lunch today I warmed up some homemade tomato bisque and made cabbage rolls using filo dough as the roll. The tomato bisque has carrots, onion, celery, tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, chicken stock, water, a few seasonings, and a quarter of a cup of milk. I made this for dinner last night, and although I think I have made it better, I feel that it was still pretty good this time. I think last time I put in 2 cans of crushed tomatoes instead of 1, but its all that I had on hand at the time, so it worked.
The main thing in the soup thats bad is the quarter of a cup of milk, and its really not that bad. Its so diluted that it really equals nothing, and then again, its really not super bad anyway. I mean, its a quarter cup.
So for dinner I am either having more bisque, or another smoothie. Still have plenty left over after this mornings batch, so I should probably do that. I had a 22oz smoothie this morning and still have a quart jar full.
Cant wait to see what tomorrow brings, or how much weight will be off. So here is to a new day, a new week, a new month, and a new 2013 year :)
