Is retired now and busier than ever! She's my hero... at 70, she cuts her own firewood, hunts, traps, gardens, takes care of her extended family... she can't sit still!

Passed away almost twenty years ago... Melanoma.

Worked last night, and haven't been to bed yet.

Sweet tea, but it's currently on the no-no list...

Researching the 5th Iowa Cavalry, preparing to write a history of the unit.

Your fear?
suffering a catastrophic health event, like so many in my life lately.

Where do you want to be in 6 years?
It will be the eve of my 50th birthday... I want to have a career I like, rather than
a job that pays the bills. The book should be finished, and I will be speaking to groups around the country and doing book signings.
