Slow and Steady FINISHES the Race!
Saturday, January 05, 2013
That's always been my motto. I don't care if there's people beating me in a race I'm running. As long as I'm moving (and preferably not the LAST person in the line) then I'm making progress. I have a very competitive husband who always likes to challenge me to try to beat him. I don't need to beat him. I just need to improve on what I did the day before. I saw a motivational poster recently that said " The only person you need to be better than is the person you were yesterday!" LOVE THAT!
But when it comes to losing weight, I don't have quite the same patience and self-forgiveness. We are our own worst critics, right? But then it occured to me. The scale is moving in the right direction! Yes, today it's only 0.2 pounds in the right direction, but HEY, at least it's not 0.2 pounds ADDED on to what I weighed yesterday! And for that I am proud of myself and thankful and grateful that I have a body that's allowing me to move every day to get healthier and more fit.
Skinny girls look good in clothes but FIT girls look good NAKED!!! AMEN!
