First of all I want to thank you all so much for responding to yesterday's blog regarding the "pain and suffering" and how to put a price on it. Gosh you all had good advice. So DH and I met our attorney at "court" to review the case and most importantly the decision by the court that we were found innocent. It felt so good to just see the written decision. So we signed the decision to let the court know we were notified. Now we have to wait 5 days to see if the decision is appealed. In a normal situation we would be confident that nothing else can happen and there will be no appeal but I have learned not to get my expectations out of line as I have been disappointed before and caught off guard. And remember, we are dealing with a very corrupt system here and someone from the other side might decide to bribe the judge to create more problems for us but if this were to happen the case would automatically go to a higher court which we hear is not as corrupt as the judges there are paid more so they won't take bribes. If nothing else the whole thing is extremely interesting. I will keep you posted.
After going to court our attorney wanted to take us out to lunch to discuss the next step towards suing the creeps that did this to us. By the way, they are Gringos. They are from Portland, Oregon. Someone asked me where they were from. Keep in mind these are people that I believe just buy properties and "flip" them and do creepy things. If nothing else we would like to teach them a lesson.
We went to a restaurant that we had not tried before that the attorney liked. I ordered a Parm chicken sandwich. It really was dry with no sauce or anything.....so as I sat there I decided that I didn't want to "waste" eating calories that I didn't enjoy so I kind of pushed it around and ate some but took most home. I hate when that happens! But I am glad that I can the decision to no waste my calories on things I really don't enjoy if I am in a position where I can control it. But I did enjoy two of my Negro Modelo beers so it made it worth it! Just love that rich beer.
Today we are supposed to go out and eat again tonight with neighbors and friends. I would prefer to stay home and eat in but my DH wants to go.....so off I go. At least tomorrow I know we can eat at home as we will want to watch the Seahawks in the playoffs. Anyone out there watching a particular team that you want to go to the Superbowl? I admit I love my football. I am interested to see who the Eagles bring on for their new coach. I do hope it's someone I like.
Thanks again dear sparks buddies for all your on going support.
Many hugs and make it a great day.
Sallie
