(Must be said in the Animaniacs voice of Hello Nurse.. (o:)
Well, the holidays are over and it’s back to business. I’m down 2.8 from last week’s weigh in, but still up 2.6 from my lowest that I hit on Dec. 15th. The holiday sodium and all of that should be out of my system by now, so I’ll consider that a 2.6 gain for the holiday season.
I just took some time to go back and look at my numbers. Since finishing my Master’s and putting my health on the priority list, I’ve lost 62.2 lbs. Of that 62.2, I lost 45.8 in the year 2012. And of that 62.2 and rejoining Spark in June, I’ve lost 32 lbs. Thank you to the Sparkpeople site and all of its awesome people who provide me with the support and encouragement. My activity on the site is definitely relative to how much success I have. Thank you, Sparkfriends!
It feels good to look back at those numbers. So, if a 2.6 gain is all I have to worry about over the holidays, - back to last week’s blog – so what! I’m looking forward to starting anew and just set my goal line to reach my first goal. I set it very modestly and hope I’ll beat it. Then I’ll reset my goal to work on my Dr. recommended goal. I’m keeping my ticker to show where I started in the beginning, however. It gives me a feeling of accomplishment and keeps me in that positive mindset. Positive mindset equals productive, healthy choices!
Going to wrap this up now and go change so I can get out for my jog. It’s warmed up a little out there and supposed to be in the 30s so it should be a nice run. I’ll wear my goofy new down lined running skirt over my pants. It’s very silly, but I feel happy wearing it, it makes me smile and keeps my butt toasty! And the zippered pockets make great storage for my tissues. Hey – whatever it takes to keep us motivated, right? Have a great week, everyone!
