So I met this lady in a Facebook group that sells plus-size clothing in my town. Went over to her house today to buy a hoodie that I saw online, and I ended up buying 28 different articles of clothing! I had to make a run to the bank, as I'd only taken $38 with me, because I assumed that I would only find three or four things that I might like. I got $700 (retail value) worth of clothes for $110! Name brand everything! Most of the stuff still had pricetags on, and if it didn't, it looked brand spanking new and had only been worn once or twice! She let me try on anything I wanted, and I must've tried on at least 60 things. I was there for two hours! So everything that I bought fits perfectly. I got 4 blouses, 5 pairs of jeans, a sweater blouse(?), 3 hoodies, a jean jacket, 5 sweaters, 4 long-sleeve tees, a t-shirt, a sweater vest combo, and 3 skirts. Two of the five jeans are Levi Strauss, my favorite! I haven't owned a pair since 2006! I'm so excited about my new wardrobe!! I have winter clothes now, for work and play! And the lady was soooo sweet and professional. She said that she will let me know whenever she brings out her spring/summer clothing. And that if I ever need a dress for a wedding or something, I can just come over and borrow one!! Too cool! It's awesome to know that there are still good, caring people out there!
And on another happy note....a co-worker who stole $60 from my purse and used my bank card at the grocery store for $300 back in June got arrested last night, on my birthday! For doing the same thing to our event coordinator at work! I never filed charges, even though I knew it was her. She'd stolen cash from other co-workers and had her drawer come up short 3x in less than six months, but management could never get any solid proof. Until they saw her on the surveillance camera at the same grocery store using the event coordinator's bank card. Evidence at last! This is the same person who got fired from the hospital on suspicion of stealing morphine from patients' IV bags!! So horrible. She told me that I didn't know her life and what she'd been through. Well, I've had it rough, and I'm pretty sure that I've got her beat, but this isn't a contest. There is no excuse for not having any morals or ethics! Needless to say, I no longer have to pretend to act friendly around the thief, because she got fired and is banned from the property/crime scene! YAY!! That is the short version of the story, there is so much more to it! But anyway, I love karma! :) What a wonderful b-day present. LOL, OK, I think I'm done talking about my birthday for this year.
