January 3rd

I forgot to post a blog on my day yesterday. I didn't get done working until 10 p.m. last night. I had such a busy day yesterday. I did accomplish all my goals. I walked the dogs twice yesterday. The second walk was at 10 p.m. I would not be walking that late at night without my son going with me. Between the dogs and my 6'4" son, I feel pretty safe. I also did a one mile Walk Away the Pound workout. We also tried another Spark recipe. It was a beef stir fry. My son also found a baked rice recipe and make it to go with the beef stir fry. My son actually prepared almost the whole meal by himself because I was busy with work. He loved it. Unfortunately, he left the stir fry on the hot burner and when he went to fix my plate when he was done, it was burnt. I did eat the less than burnt pieces though. Overall we both had a great day!!

January 4th

I had another busy day today. The good part is that I stopped working just after 8 p.m. That's when we went for our second walk. It was pretty cold this evening, but we made it through the walk. When we came back, I took a break to go through email while I was waiting for my clothes to get done in the dryer. Once the clothes were folded and hung up, I did my one mile WATP workout.

So today was my first weigh in day of the year. I'm sure I lost weight because of all the fluid retention I have been dealing with later. According to the scale, I did gain 1.8 lbs from my lowest weight last year. My weight was all up and down last month. I was just so thankful this morning to see that weight. By the way, our new Fit Bit Wi-Fi Scale is pretty cool.

For supper tonight, we tried yet another Spark recipe tonight. I was Mexican chicken. We had it with rice. I loved the Mexican chicken, but my son wasn't a fan of the salsa that was put on it. He scraped off most of the salsa, I thought it was delicious and I'll be have more of it tomorrow for lunch.

Another great day for us today. Normally, on Fridays, we would have some type of fast food for lunch or possibly supper; not this Friday. We are determined to stay away from unhealthy fast food. I plan on continuing with my goals over the weekend. It will be a little bit of a struggle since we normally eat out. I know we can do it.
