I WANT YOU TO LEARN A NEW HABIT!

Friday, January 04, 2013

TRY SAYING, "I TRUST YOU, JESUS" IN RESPONSE TO WHATEVER HAPPENS TO YOU. IF THERE IS TIME, THINK ABOUT WHO I AM IN ALL MY POWER AND GLORY; PONDER ALSO THE DEPTH AND BREADTH OF MY LOVE FOR YOU.

THIS SIMPLE PRACTICE WILL HELP YOU SEE ME IN EVERY SITUATION, ACKNOWLEDGING MY SOVEREIGN CONTROL OVER THE UNIVERSE. WHEN YOU VIEW EVENTS FROM THIS PERSPECTIVE--THROUGH THE LIGHT OF MY UNIVERSAL PERSPECTIVE--THROUGH THE LIGHT OF MY PRESENCE--FEAR LOSES ITS GRIP ON YOU. ADVERSE CIRCUMSTANCES BECOME GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES WHEN YOU AFFIRM YOUR TRUST IN ME NO MATTER WHAT. YOU RECEIVE BLESSINGS GRATEFULLY, REALIZING THEY FLOW DIRECTLY FROM MY HAND OF GRACE. YOUR CONTINUAL ASSERTION OF TRUSTING ME WILL STRENGTHEN OUR RELATIONSHIP AND KEEP YOU CLOSE TO ME.

I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Psalm 63:2

See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power, and His arm rules for him. See, His reward is with Him and His recompense accompanies him. He tends His flock like a shepherds; He gathers the labs in His arms and carries them close to His heart; He gently leads those that have young. Isaiah 40: 10-11

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you re there; If i make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. Psalm 139:7-10

How fitting this is that we cannot hide from God, and yet if we try, He still extends His hand to guide us back and hold us. What a Blessed God we serve. I am glad that I am a child of God and will not fear the world because I know that He that is in me is greater than he that is in the world.

God bless all my friends. May God richly bless you.

Joan

Great blog, Joan! I trust You, Jesus! With as much going on around us in this world it will become imperative that we trust the Lord or fear will move in on us and set up residence within the hearts of people. In the last days men's hearts will fail them for fear as spoken of in Luke 21:26. Trust is the anti-dote to fear!

Excellent...this is the only way to live this life is by having faith in His never ending love and grace that He has set aside for each of us knowing He has given unto us everything that we need to be a winner over every and all obstacles that come at us in the name of Jesus.

What a great habit to learn. Although I say that I believe and trust in Him in a general sense, I need to say it when: a. I crash my car door; b. the battery on the truck dies when Erik and I are out in the cold; c. my sewing machine dies as I feverishly try to make Christmas gifts for my DILs and granddaughters; or d. when Erik comes back from the gym 2 1/2 hours early and I had all these plans to get things accomplished.
Yes, "I TRUST YOU LORD" is what I need to say instead of "oh woe is me". Thanks Joan for the great plan of action.
God Bless you and keep you, may He let His face shine upon you.

Amen - acknowledging Jesus in all that we do and that He is in control regardless of our circumstances. Thanks for posting this. I am having problems with my heart. I have edema and have got to watch my sodium/potassium intake and also how often I exercise. It gets to be stressful at times and have not been on Spark as often as I use to be. So thanks for posting this. It helps me to remember Jesus is with me in all circumstances.
