January Goals

It's time to get back on track. I have taken a bit of a break from regular exercise. First I took a break so that I could get better - I could only figure that I was pushing myself too much and not getting enough rest to get over the cold / flu that I had for close to two months. By then it was quite easy to be lazy and use any excuse that I could come up with. It was also getting into the busy holiday season.

I'm happy (and sad ??) to say that I almost reached my weight lose goal by Christmas. How I accomplished that after stopping exercising, I'm guessing that I lost some muscle tone. I am rearing to go - to regain any muscle tone I lost, but also hit another weight milestone.

I am still thinking about my 2013 goals.... for January though I am trying to eat "greens" or at least (more) veggies at every meal. Also I am trying for about 20-30 hours of exercise. I'm not setting a set goal yet, as I'm not sure how much time I can physically commit to right now. I want to get in the exercise, but I don't want to run myself down again.

I do plan on getting back into either walking or running most days. Once the snow leaves, I will get back into biking a few times a week too. I expect to participate in a few walks/runs this year. I would really like to get back out to Vancouver and do some of the trails out there - we have done a few in the past (when I was quite out of shape!). Also I would love to attempt the Grind.

    I have also been taking it easy lately; although I have started to get some things right, still on holidays until the 14th. Happy New Year.

Glad you are getting over you flu/cold bug. I had it myself. Not as long.

Work on you before you set any major goals. You'll be just fine..and you have us to cheer ya on.
