I've refused to put full body pictures on here because I was ashamed. I admit how much I weigh, but actually having people see it has been very daunting.
As part of my journey this year, I am working on NOT hiding anymore. I've come along way since I started over a year ago. It may not be where I was hoping I'd be, but it's progress. In honor of myself, I'm posting the pictures of when I started and my current pictures.
Starting 2011, 384 pounds.
Dec. 31, 2012; 350 pounds.
Every little step I make is progress. Every time I choose to no longer hide how awesome I am is progress. Every glass of water, choosing to eat healthy, moving my body, all of it is progress. And I need to be proud of all the steps I have taken, even if the results aren't always what I wish.
Progress is my main focus this year. I've floundered the last two years because I didn't set concrete goals. I still made progress, but now I am determined to do even better. I've already set my goals for the month of January. Most of them are not "lose 12 pounds" type of goals. They are centered more around the other areas of healthy living. Like, riding my bike for at least 15 minutes a day, or tracking my food consistently. Those are the goals that are going to keep me moving forward, and making PROGRESS.
