The book of Job is my least favorite in the Bible and it's the one I'm currently reading. Every time I read it, I find myself getting more irritated with the guy. What happened to him was tragic, I get that. But it just feels like he goes on and on with his whining. And the way he treats his friends is pathetic. They traveled to visit him during his grief. They sat there and mourned with him, without saying a word, for 7 days. Yes maybe their theology was a little off but not everyone is biblical scholars and sometimes there are just no answers (in this lifetime) to why things happen. Job insults these people when all they're trying to do is help. I think there motives are right and their hearts are in the right place.
So my intense irritation with Job has to mean something but not sure what yet. God often will bring things into my life as themes to guide me. He also is directing me to 1 Peter a lot recently. Wondering if it's related
