A Prayer of Direction...

Friday, January 04, 2013

I had meant to write this for my own personal prayer journal but I know that I am not the only one that prays for direction and guidance, therefore, I decided to share this prayer for all of us who continuously pray that we trust and have faith in where God is leading us and although we fall short of what we are meant to be for him, He so kindly and mercifully picks us up and dusts us off every time we fall.

-I can feel you working in the background, you always are, yet I do not know your plan. I am surrounded by darkness and am only able to see one step ahead of me. I look around and though I see I am also blind. You hold my hand and guide me through the path you need me to take, but there are times when I let go and when I do I am not only in darkness but am also afraid. Help me so that I may not let go again. Take me away from the darkness and into the light, be my guiding light. Take the uncertainty in my heart and replace it with peace, trust, and faith. I do not know how long this journey will take or where it will take me but one thing I do know for sure is that everything will work according to your good plan. May you continue guiding me and I thank you for never letting me go. In Jesus Name I pray this, Amen.-

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path" - Psalm 119:105

"And we know that all things work together for them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose" - Romans 8:28
