Paleo week 1

Friday, January 04, 2013

So it hasn't been a full week yet but I did ease in for a week prior right after Christmas and finally took the full plunge on New Years Day.

I have got to say that my energy levels are up. For the first time in a very long time I feel really great! I have been tired for years now and for the first time in a long time I feel ALIVE.

Today at the gym I did box jumps! 13 1/2 inches off the ground! Whoot! I'm so empowered!!
I didn't think I could do it so I begged my trainer to start me with the little stair stepper so I could work my courage up. Total mind over matter. I had no idea he planned on raising the stepper and then moving me to the 13 1/2 inch all in one day but I did it!!!!!

I've been a salad making, juicing and blending maniac for the past few days. I also whipped up a batch of paleo bread (daughter rejected due to coconut flavor) paleo pumpkin muffins with enjoy life chco chips (daughter LOVES them) and have been testing out various new paleo recipes that hubby has enjoyed and daughter has even eaten without too much of a fuss.

So far I rate week 1 a success!

Good luck on your journey. I have been doing Paleo about a month now and , like you, feel great. So nice not having to weigh, measure and count calories and still lose weight. I love to bake but don't have any craving for desserts/baked goods so have not experimented yet. Congrats on your successful workout with your trainer
