The journey to weight loss is not for the swift but for those who can endure daily (minutely) decisions which require a BIG NO to temptation and yes to healthly food choices and exercise.
The lesson I learnt from the past years ( and years) of dieting is that No matter how many times I say to myself I am ready and committed to lose the weight - the real test is how well i manage to deal with the little temptations. I know that the weight will come off if I follow the mathematical equation burn more than you take in. But the only way to do that is to find the courage to say No and Resist the lure to gobble up everything in sight.
There will always be setbacks on the journey but if you have not taken the first step is it fair to say that you have started? I dont think so. So this year I plan to start and take it one step at a time one day at a time.
I know within my spirit that I am strong enough to do this and I have more than enough resources to get me to where I need to be - 43lbs. No more quick fixes, no more last suppers till tomorrow's starvation diet. This year I plan to learn balance, work hard and enjoy every single ounce that I drop on the way to 174lbs.
