New Year, New Challenges

Friday, January 04, 2013

Well folks, I have finally decided to put somethings on my sparkpage. I have been very remiss with my participation and I hope you will forgive me. There have been a few trials and challenges these past few months and my wife and I have been through the ringer with family, both close and extended. We have managed to continue with exercising to a certain degree but not to the extent with which we desire. My wonderful and beloved wife has completed her first 5K race through this time, that is very positive and encouraging to me. She is a great blessing to me!
Our grand daughter is staying with us for the time being, which provides alot of challenges day-to-day. She is 4 and very active. Our schedules have changed in a great way and we are in the midst of making decisions that will effect our lives in ways that may be tough down the line. If you pray, please do so for us. We really need the wisdom. She has a terrrible home life with an father that is absent most times and when he is there he is an absolute loser. Her mother (our daughter) has much trouble staying focused on two kids without ANY support from her husband and looks for any type of comfort or approval from our messed-up family and men that are not her husband. We have tried to help but I have my own issues to deal with. We are helping with one child right now but it is taxing on my dear wife.
We will still press on throughout these upheavals and come out better for each other though. We maybe even able to help others along the way, as the Lord provides! He is blesssing us each day and getting us through, by His grace. Well, talk to ya'll next time (oh yes, we now reside in South Carolina).

I pray for wisdom, joy, grace for you each day. We have been at North Myrtle Beach the last week and go home tomorrow. Have a great day no matter what come your way.

Having someone to go through it with, makes things much more bearable.

Hugs and prayers...In these difficult and challenging times looking after you is your lineline to sanity and peace.

My prayers are with you. Grand children are a blessing and a challenge.
I can relate to that, had my 3 year old grand daughter with me and never a dull moment.
