I have a birthday that is nearly exactly mid-year. It makes goal-setting timelines pretty easy, if unimaginative. I was playing with my weight loss goal settings here on Spark. Then it told me that if I lost 2 pounds a week I'd be under 200 pounds before my birthday.
And pondering that kinda stunned me.
I can't quite explain it. But sometimes the numbers are mysterious and foreign. My actual goal is more like an average of 1 pound a week. I could reach that (still for some weirdness seems unreachable) 'under 200' milestone that I haven't seriously thought about in a long time. My caveat is that I need to be strong and make the other fitness goals I have planned, and will not forsake them for a scale reading.
But when I stick to my fitness and food goals, the weight goes.
I'll try on the thought of weighing 200 by then, maybe with a 222 lb warm-up imagining.
