I accomplished some great things in 2012. I went cross country skiing for the first time and continued to do so all winter long. I went on my first backpacking trip and became instantly addicted. I did two solo backpacking trips. On my day hikes I flirted with the PCT. I hiked 8 miles or more without injury. I joined a gym.
I also had some pitfalls. I made poor food choices. I gained back about 10 lbs and I'm back up to 185. Due to finances, I gave up on riding for a while. I didn't go to the gym as often I should have.
However, it's a new year! I'm starting strong this year. I've spent some time analyzing just where I went wrong last year, and am crafting new plans and goals based around that.
I have high hopes for this year. Here's just a preview: strength training plan, a certain childhood pastime, a famous trail, and perhaps even a festive 5k first.
