A long time ago (this morning), far far away (on the other side of the house and upstairs, where my bed is), a beautiful princess
woke from an enchanted sleep. And/or a foul-mouthed troll with bed head got up after beating the snooze button to death. Whichever.
While still high on the pride of resisting the popcorn last night, our herione packed weird stuff for lunch and forgot to get important parts of her meal...and thus ended up with a weird soy sauce, beef, no rice, the wrong veggies, and two servings of snack food when she reached her journey's destination (ie, work). Apparently, sleepy princesses do not pack their food well.
So the heroine went without lunch. Pretty much guaranteeing that she would turn back into the foul-mouthed troll at day's end.
But when she journeyed back to her castle, she did NOT stop off in the land of darkness (fast food places, like a tortilla-less Taco Bell*). She did NOT devour everything in her fridge. She did not fall directly into an enchanted daze in front of the computer or TV.
She DID eat one serving of healthy food, get in a strength training workout, and finish drinking her water for the day.
So this is a story about a WIN of day, despite a boneheaded mistake that, in the past, would have turned a princess
into a raging troll
(I know it's a vampire but gimme a break, they don't actually have a troll icon).
And everyone in the story lived happily ever after and they all lost 10 lbs over night, just in time to weigh-in for a weekly challenge.
(Also, there were more people at work today, and they/we were more social so I wasn't feeling nearly as deprived of human contact.)
*This is a joke for CATTUTT. Apparently, there is a tortilla shortage in Columbus, which sounds awful.**
**I mean, tortilla shortages sound awful. Columbus sounds moderately unpleasant because of the snow, but not awful.
