But I did take it a little easier today than the last few days. Cooper and I walked 7.6 miles. (Actually, he walked more than that, as my dad said he took him for a short walk while he was dogsitting this evening.) I also did 80+ jumping jacks (I lost count on the second set, so it might actually be closer to 90), a SP video (2x) and 45 crunches. But that was it. So, it almost counts as a rest day, but not quite. I am going to the gym again tomorrow while the dog is at the groomer's. I plan on getting on the treadmill and seeing how far I can get in the time I will have... I am not certain how long that will be as I am meeting with the PT first to tweak my ST workout routine.
There is a modified triathlon at the end of February that I am thinking of participating in. It is done in a gym, and you get 15 minutes to get as far as you can swimming, on the stationary bike, and the treadmill. The total is added up, and that is your score. I might join a team for that event as it is a fundraiser for a local nonprofit.
I am also going to try and register for a 5k that a friend signed up for in Erie, PA in August. I don't have a car, but she does, so I can ride down with her and another friend, and we can make a day of it. That would put me at 3 5ks for the summer of 2013. I think I can handle it, no problem! I just have to remember to take some actual rest days to give my body a chance to recover (and get stronger!).
