Do you make New Year's resolutions?

Thursday, January 03, 2013

I have off and on...and NEVER have I been successful. I decided this year, while there are achievements that I want to reach for in 2013, I do not want to put them in a resolution format. These aren't changes I want just for 2013...but life changes. They are so important to me that making them resolutions (given my track record) seems to decrease their importance.

I am an all or nothing type of gal, and a real people pleaser. it is difficult for me to make this journey about ME and no one else...but that is exactly what I have to do.

I challenge anyone reading this blog to keep track of me...and if I seem to be on a path to of pleasing someone rather than following my journey, speak up!

I am not sure what has 'flipped' or changed in me, but I feel a real shift and I think it is important to take advantage of that NOW.

So...here we go - I know there will be twists, turns, bumps, and simple failures, but they are all lessons to learn from...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

What do think I have been doing? I have complete faith in you !!! Trust me - if I could do it , you can !! No , I do not set resolutions, I set goals for myself. Start small that is the key. Start by just tracking your food and exercise one step at a time getting yourself used to the system. The rest will fall into place. At times you will be frustrated but by all means do not give up - one thing I have always keep in mind - Nothing Taste as Good as Healthy and Skinny Feel ! - You are on the Journey of a life time - have fun with it - Hugs Karen emoticon

You said it yourself, this is not a resolution but life changes, just make small changes to your life day by day and at the end of the year your life will be healthier and better. Take it slow and add a new behavior in eating or exercise every few days and most or all of them will become habit! Good luck on your journey!
