This was the year I reached maintenance and then struggled to stay there. I was OK until Thanksgiving when I apparently gave myself permission to stop paying as much attention to portions as I should. Then around Christmas I totally ate junk!
Now I'm officially 8 pounds over goal, and realizing that I have to make some serious adjustments. I tossed the junk food and lowered my calorie range from maintenance. My exercise routine is pretty good but I tend to do the same things so I'll look at my DVDs for a change. My new Fitbit keeps great stats that motivate me.
I do track food and exercise - but I've been over on my calories and that's where I need to do better. Today I logged my meals and snack in advance - I'm going to try that strategy that a Spark friend recommended and see if it helps.
DH and I are in the process of moving to a retirement location, involving lots of travel, stress, and lack of a daily routine. However, these are excuses and I have to find a way to make my plan work. I will make it work - there's no other option!
