With the new year I got a new sickness that has derailed my plans a bit. Such is life, Iíve come to embrace those times as best I can. With that I have been plotting about how Iím going to take this year and make it mine. How I need to figure out why I let all the excuses keep me from my goals, how I can stay proud and happy and still work on making myself better. How I can set attainable goals and start small and keep going.
Truth is Iím pretty unhappy with my body right now. I have gained weight and pretending itís not happening doesnít make it less true. Iíve lost weight before and I can do it again and I have to stop with the excuses to do so. So today, now that I feel better and have the clear mind to do so, Iím implementing my plan. Baby steps that will lead to big steps and I know I have what it takes. Now that school is done I can use that time and energy to put toward all the things I want to accomplish. Itís really not all that difficult if you think about it. You just have to do it.
So here are a few of my goals Iím going to work on for the rest of this week.
Track everything I eat.
Drink at least 8 oz of water a day
Exercise everyday, Thurs-Sunday (even if it is something small because of this friggen cold/sinus/crud that I got going on)
Take my vitamins
Next week Iíll up the workouts to 5-6 days a week and increase the intensity as I feel better.
Iím going to make 2 healthy recipes that week
Work on eating more fruits and veggies. Right now I donít have any because I havenít gone to the store (will go this weekend) so Iíll start off with a goal of 3 a day and increase from there.
Take my vitamins, drink water, track everything I eat.
The week after I go to Mexico (what?! Already!? So excited :)) and there I will workout every day (they have a workout facility there and otherwise I will take long morning walks on the beach). For food I know it will be hard so I wonít track but I will focus on eating lots of fresh fruits and veggies, each salads when I can and try to watch my portions. I want to enjoy the food there because it is delicious but I want to also not go completely crazy for the whole week Iím there. Once I get back I will go back to tracking my food and hopefully can start losing some of this dang weight.
So that is the plan for now. Iíll add other little goals as I can to keep my motivated. I feel like now that school is done and now that I can focus on something positive it will be good for me
