Valentine Challenge

My 6 week Valentine challenge is not the typical goals. Oh sure, I'll be eating right, getting my water, exercising, etc. Those have become habits. My goals are to care better for myself mentally. I have to learn that I am a special person and God has me on this earth for a purpose. I have to learn that it is ok to love myself.

I am devoting the next 6 weeks to healing and moving forward. Stress just needs to be dealt with better. Stress does not help our hearts. What better time than now?

I may have mentioned this, but one day I was watching a cooking show. A set of twins were guests. I noticed how they complimented each other. They were so alike that if they were negative they were hurting the other twin. That struck me. I need to have an imaginary twin. I wouldn't hurt my twin so why do I belittle myself?

Another goal is to declutter the house. That will be a stress buster, too. I don't know where the stuff comes from. Seems like I worked on this over the summer.

In 6 weeks I'm going to be a happier, heart healthier person.

    Great goals! I am with you on that de-cluttering goal. I plan to do 15 minutes at least 5 times per week. I figure if I get started it will end up being more than 15 minutes too. emoticon

    I love your challenge - being kind to yourself is SO important. As for the decluttering, that's part of my January goal list, too! Let's do it!
