This year I will be a "WORK IN PROGRESS".
I feel resolutions do me more harm than good. So this year, I plan to set goals - small and achievable and make committments to myself for myself.
I FINALLY made 2012 my year to achieve weight loss success. Past years were start/stop, try-try again. Last year, I found fun in working out and I reaped all the rewards of a slimmer body. It was a great year and I accomplished alot.
So this year, a few of my goals are the following:
> Continue to lose "fat".
I am a size 2-4 and weigh 126lbs and I can still pinch more than an inch. This continues to baffle me. By the end of the year, I make a commitment to myself that this will NOT be an issue.
> Continue to be a non-smoker.
I smoked just a few cigs a day throughout the year but even 1 is bad. I am 8 weeks strong at quitting.
> Never stop trying to eat better.
I am very bad in this area (which is probably why I can pinch more than an inch). My downfall is not bad eating it is just eating period. I know I need the fruits/vegs, etc and I have good intentions but then the produce and fruits at the grocery store are not the greatest and I buy, start off the week good then get waylaid 1/2 way through and it all goes to rot.
> Run 10 miles.
I currently can run a 5K with no problems. I am close to being able to run 5 miles straight. My goal by the end of the year is to run 10 miles. I don't enjoy running so this will be a challenge for me.
> Enjoy life - experience new things.
I did a lot of things last year that I hadn't done before. Also things that I hadn't done in a long time. I will never let this get away from me again.
These are just a few to start. The biggest thing is to never quit.... I need to get up every morning with the mindset that "I matter" and what path will I go down today for me!
