some weight gain.....

Thursday, January 03, 2013

Well I gained a little weight....8 lbs to be exact. But I lost it once so I can do it again and this time for good. I guess all the junk and sweets over the holidays finally showed up.
New plan is in action already. Eat more veggies and fruits and stay away from junk,no fast food or too many carbs. And I will ride my recumbent bike for at least 10 minutes per day.
I know it will be hard to ride my bike after working for 8 hrs and being on my feet for most of that. But I will do it. Got to be firm with myself.
My right knee is starting to give a lot of pain, I guess it's getting time to replace it , but I really can't afford to be off work for 3-6 months. So I will baby it for a while.

Great new plan of action - the weight will be gone before you know it.

I have the same food goals. My eating is what is hampering my weight loss efforts.

Riding your bike will help your knee. It helped mine. Good job on gaining less than one pound over the holidays. That's great.

Getting back on track is what counts. Eating more fruit and veggies is something we could probably all benefit from. Wishing you the best as you work your plan!

Me, too - 4 lbs. Could be worse, but I'm not going to let it get me down. I need to be using my bike more, too. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hard not to gain weight over the holidays. You have the right attitude though! emoticon

emoticon You are not alone. I gained 8 lbs also over the holidays. It took me a little while to get back on track but, I'm there now and the future looks good. I went through this last year but, my weight gain over the holidays was a lot more than 8 lbs. It took me a while to lose it and I vowed never to let it happen again (famous last words). Oh, will I never learn? Thank goodness we can start yet again. I wish you success.
