Starting off running... literally

I decided to join the January Jumpstart Fitness Challenge yesterday and I started off with a bang. I am still incredibly motivated. Yesterday, not only did I eat healthy, but also I went to the gym for a ridiculously long amount of time. Technically the challenge calls for a ten minute workout dvd and half an hour of cardio. I did about 45 minutes of cardio and 45 minutes of weight lifting instead. I feel like that fulfills the challenge's intentions, if not the exact requirements. I already packed my gym clothes to go to and run some more today. I do have tutoring until 6, but there is no reason why I can't get in a good workout also. I will say that I am a little sore, but I don't think it's anything that will put me at risk of hurting myself. I was down a pound this morning, but I am not going to attribute that to real weight loss.

I hope I can keep up this level of motivation because it is amazing! I need to join workout challenges more often.

Yesterday I got my video and 30 min Cardio in, today I only got the bare minimum for week one (the video and 10 min cardio) in but for me that is good! I will keep trying to keep up!

    I'm doing the January Jumpstart too! I would suggest checking out some of the videos too. I was pleasantly surprised at the workout I got from the first 2!
I think going to the gym two days in a row is fine. Listen to your body and mix up what workouts you're doing if you're sore from yesterday's workouts. Glad I know someone else doing the challenge- can't hurt to have a little extra motivation from sparkfriends!

    Congrats on all your motivation!
I don't see anything wrong with going to the gym again today, just make sure you listen to your body and don't over do it. An injury would be a big step back!
