I recorded the Today show and was watching it. I love watching all the January show with all the health tips.
The new diet book they were introducing was Virgin Diet. The author says to eliminate Dairy, eggs, soy, gluten, peanuts, corn, sugar and artificial sweeteners from your diet. This caught my attention.
Many year ago I had went to an allergies who told me I had food allergies and to not eat the same foods everyday. He wanted me on the rotation diet. I did not do well on this diet. I could not stick to it. Then my current allergy doctor said the other doctor always tells the patients they have food allergies.
I did some more reading and it is basically about food intolerance. "In food intolerance, there is a physical reaction to a food, but that reaction isn't allergic. Lactose intolerance is a common example; people who suffer from this have trouble digesting one of the sugars in milk and can have stomachaches or diarrhea when they drink milk or eat dairy products. While the symptoms of food intolerance can be uncomfortable, this condition is not dangerous." from Spark article on food allergies.
Take out all these food Dairy, eggs, soy, gluten, peanuts, corn, sugar and artificial sweeteners from your diet.
Well according to JJ Virgin a person will start to lose weight once all these foods are gone.
Has anyone tried eliminating all these foods?
I am going to get rid of the dairy

, I drink almond milk already but the yogurt ???
Peanuts no problem they are gone. I like almonds and walnuts.
Corn tortillas will be hard to lose but I am going to try for 1 week.
Wheat I will try for 1 week
Eggs I do not know??? I like

whites and pinto beans for breakfast. I guess I can have oatmeal for breakfast instead but then I heard that is bad toooo. Honey or Agave to sweeten it.
Soy I will read the labels and look for the hidden soy in products. Soups are a big one.
Sugar and sweetners yes I know that I love

.

I would not be overweight if I could control sweets. Ok one day I will try it on Thurs no sugar or sweetners..
