Work out with hubby tonight

Our kid has soccer again tonight after a 2-month break due to various scheduling issues for the coach, field, etc... Soccer is from 6-8, and there is a class at the gym from 6:30-7:30, which is perfect. Sometimes DH and I run while DS is at soccer, sometimes we go to the gym, sometimes I stay home and sit on my butt. LOL Tonight, we go to the gym. If there is time between work and taking him to soccer, I might run a bit. MIGHT.

They have started a couple of new Les Mills classes at my gym. One is a 30-minute core class, CX Works, and the other is a combination of BodyPump and the core class. So you do the first 4 tracks of Pump, then the 30-minute core class, for a 50-minute total workout. That's what we're trying for the first time tonight. It should be interesting. And I'm almost over being sore from Sunday's Pump class! LOL

My leg is really achy today, basically from just behind the toes all the way up to the glute. I guess I just have to learn to live with this. I feel sure that getting some of this weight off will help.

One good thing: the elevator at work is broken, so I am forced to take the stairs. Actually, there are 2 other elevators, and I know a lot of people will go to the other corner of the building to take the elevator up rather than walk. My office is on the first floor, but the "first" floor is a bit misleading, especially to Americans. Although my office is on the "first" floor, it is 42 steps up here. That's because here there is a ground floor, then sometimes a mezzanine floor, THEN the first floor. So my first floor office here would be on the third floor in the US! PLUS, the ceilings are higher. For example, at my mother's 2-story house, there are 10 steps. At my 2-story house here, there are 22 steps. I ran back up and down the stairs 3 times this morning getting ready for work. That's 66 steps up. At work, I came up when I got here, then once walked down and walked back up just for the heck of it. That's 84 steps up. Not bad for incidental exercise! I will walk the stairs here once more before I go home, where I'm sure to have to run up and down 3 or 4 times at least before I go to bed.

Yay for stairs!

Also, the weekend here starts in 70 minutes. Yay for weekends!

    Sounds like a fun class!!
It sounds like sciatic nerve issues to me. Maybe your piriformis muscle is tight??
Stairs make great incidental exercise :-)
