We drove back to the east side of Leona Valley (where we usually hang out)
One of the fancy ranches.
The Bluebirds were in the trees, and taking baths again. Robins were there as well.
Further up the road I noticed a new black and white Calf. Unfortunately it was on the other side of Mama, and nursing. I plan to go back within a day or two to see if I can get a better pic of it. The legs are cute lol
There were several Ravens in the area
DH spotted the Red Shoulder Hawk
We were driving back down the road when I spotted a Red Tail Hawk. The first picture of the Hawk I was looking into the sun, so we drove up to the corner and parked. Nice and sunny there.
It's mate was 6 trees over.
On our way out we passed a nice looking ranch. Leona Valley hills are behind the ranch, and the mountains by my house are to the left.
We are on our way back home, and stopped to get some pictures of the country side. I love the trees in this area.
I was playing with the sun in this one
Not far down the road is the famous Red Tail Hawk tree. Mama Hawk is hanging around in the tree consistently. Her mate will show up soon. I can't wait to see new babies, and watch them grow like we did last year.
When we got home I spotted a Yellow Rumped Warbler in the hanging food dish.
In the backyard the Lesser Goldfinch were having a snack.
And this cute little Sparrow.
Almost everyday I walk out the door, and wonder what I will find to photograph. God always comes through, and sometimes throws in something special we don't see very often. Just makes for a great day!
