Dh and I worked out at amazing gym today that is walking distance from our condo. I asked you for suggestions to help us decide if I/we should join. Your suggestions were very helpful. Not sure if we will join, but in any case, not right now. I will continue to use the one in our building and wIll research other pools in the area. I will watch for discounts and sales, but even though I do love the nearby gym, I want to weigh other options. I really don't need all those bells and whistles. It was a lovely three hour trial, however! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Way to take your time when making such an expensive decision. I am sure that they are pressuring you to join. Don't let them push you. If they do, then you know you made the right decision.

That gym will have specials. They usually do in January. Don't sign a long term contact at any gym. They often close.
We have had 2 near us to just shut down.

You are braver than I am. I have never joined a gym but do love my town's rec dept exercise classes.

I am on the fence with this myself. I do water aerobics about half the year, twice a week. The other times, like now, we don't have pool access. There is a $10/month gym about 4 miles away I am considering. Anyway, good luck. If you can get hubby to take walks with you, that would be ideal. Maybe if he just goes with you to the gym in your building.. talk about convenient! emoticon
