The holidays are finally over, and 2013 is here! After over a month of overeating, holiday parties, sleep deprivation, planning, shopping, and stressing, I am finally able to just sit on the couch with a cup of hot tea and BREATHE!
School starts tomorrow, so it's back to work for me, and I am actually looking forward to getting back to normalcy. I like our routine, and the predictability of our day-to-day makes it much easier to stick to diets, workouts, etc. My poor body has been through one too many overindulgent dinners, and I am so excited to eat clean, healthy meals and to control my portions.
I am looking forward to the new year and to (hopefully) being bikini-ready by the summer! I hadn't made the best choices in 2012 (hence my 20-pound weight gain- yikes!). I'm hoping that I can wipe the slate clean and start all over again. This time, I want to do it right! So, out with The Old (the self-deprecating, destructive, all-or-nothing approach I've had about my body image and exercise/dieting), and in with The New (the positive, realistic, slow and steady I-Love-myself attitude I'm trying so hard to adopt)! Oh, and lots and lots of water! Must. Remember. Water! :)
