I have been training on my treadmill the last two weeks. It has been too cold outside (in the low 30's). I cannot stand the cold! A couple of days ago I ran 10 miles while watching a movie. There were so many commercials I walked two more miles when I was done running - just to see the end of it!
Today I worked really late, so I just walked 2 fast miles while watching tv.
Tomorrow I am going to do some quad work at the gym and run 5 miles on the treadmill.
The past couple weeks I have lost a lot of energy and am quite fatigued. My knuckles are swelling up and numb. Even my upper eyelids are swollen! It occurred to me last Saturday that I have symptoms of Lyme Disease so I went to an Express Clinic. I usually have low blood pressure and it was quite high when the nurse checked it. The doctor did a blood test and I am still waiting for the results to get back. If it comes back negative, I am going to go to my regular physician and get more blood work done. It may be high cholesterol or a thyroid problem or it may just be my allergies. I am highly allergic to mold and it is running rampid here. We have had a lot of rain and there is still a lot of fallen leaves in the area. I am running anyway even though I am exhausted. The only motivation I have to run at the moment is this HM next week. I am a pretty hyper person and I do not like feeling run down.
So, I am trying to get excited for the run. Escaping to a nice, sunny area with my hubby should do me some good! And, hanging with other runners is just what I need!
I did splurge quite a bit during the holidays, but hopped back on the wagon without a problem. I am tired of junk food and eating in general. I am happy the new year is here.
