‘The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.’ – Michael Altshule

I read this quote today. It really made me think. There are times that we are all found guilty of blaming others or circumstances for many events in our life. One of them, is gaining weight. How long can I use the excuse that I gained weight during pregnancy. HELLO....my youngest is 24. How long can I use this excuse??? If I am the pilot...why am I not taking control of my life...that really is not a question. I know why. It is difficult to make changes and it takes commitment.

I am taking control of my life again. This is not the first time I have made a resolution to lose weight. I have lost weight and re-gained more than once. I am fortunate that hubby and I are doing this together. I know we can do it.

I also joined the Spark People's January Jumpstart Fitness Challenge. I know that this is a great team to keep me headed in the right direction.

That's an important thing for all of us to remember, that we are in control of our weight. Thanks for the reminder! I'm glad you and your hubby are working on health and fitness together, that makes it a lot easier! Good luck to you both! emoticon

With your hubby on board, you can succeed for sure, its great to have a fitness buddy and loved one all rolled into one. A lot of people, including my loved ones (sister and sister-in-law), get no support what so ever from their families and significant others and they rebel if one iota of their bad food choices is altered in any way :(
Here is to making 2013 your year!
Go Linda, GO!

You will be successful this time! My baby fat has been around for 19 years so I can totally relate to your post. It's just started to come off in the past year. Making it a priority and not being tough on yourself when you slip up helps! Good luck emoticon
