I was going to get so much done today, clean the house, go to the gym, go to the grocery store and get dinner in the crock pot. Then my daughter woke up with a 102 fever and everything (for the most part) was canceled. I stayed in and cleaned the house between opening the kids Christmas presents for them and nursing my daughter. We didn't have any food in the house so I bundled them up to run out for a sandwich (I had a salad with chicken and soup). When Mike got home, I really didn't want to go to the gym. I was worn out. But I didn't want to get behind on my January-thon (running 26 miles in January, I have already mapped out what I have to run each day to meet my goal). So off the gym for 1.5 miles (in 3 segments) of slow running.
There were lots of people at the Y. I run on the track so it is ok, but the machines were almost full. The only problem is that when I am passing someone (slowly) it makes me run faster than I feel comfortable. I was happy I stuck it out and have marked the first workout of January complete. :)
