As posted in my blog of about 2 weeks ago, I was sick. I had a nasty cold that developed into acute bronchitis. Due to drug allergies, the doctor basically told me to eat lots of garlic and onion to help break up the mucus in my lungs. I am feeling about 90% now. I am excited to start the new year on a good foot. My food habits went down along with exercise. However, I am ready to begin lifestyle changes again. Slip-ups and set-backs are a part of reality. I am blessed to have another day to make good choices. I am still taking it easy over this week to let my body fully heal, but I feel I can start working out again. I am able to decide meals again instead of letting others make those choices for me. While it was yucky to be sick, it helped me to realize the importance of teaching my husband and others how to make better food choices not only for me but for themselves.
